Role Overview

The successful candidate will join the Rehabilitation Team at Beaumont Hospital, providing clerical support within the Physiotherapy Department. Occasional cross-cover for Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy may be required during unplanned absences.

Key Responsibilities

The position involves carrying out administrative functions under the supervision of the Physiotherapy management team. The individual is responsible for planning work to meet established objectives and deadlines. They must participate in performance reviews and develop personal development plans. Additionally, the role includes monitoring risk elements within the department and reporting them to management.

  • Manage incoming calls and emails for the Physiotherapy reception.
  • Coordinate and book patient appointments and fracture slots.
  • Retrieve and track medical charts efficiently.
  • Handle Freedom of Information queries within statutory timeframes.
  • Liaise with legal firms regarding patient note access.
  • File clinical documentation according to National Guidelines.
  • Scan and transmit documents in compliance with GDPR.
  • Assist in training new staff members as appropriate.

Qualifications

Terms of Employment

  • Full-time, 35 hours weekly.
  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Flexitime with start times between 08:00 and 10:00.
  • End times between 16:00 and 18:00.
