Who is responsible

IrelandJobHub is a job search engine: we show vacancies from public sources and refer you to the website the vacancy came from to apply. The site is run as a small, independent initiative. The data controller is the operator of this site, reachable at the email address below.

Vacancies from other websites

The vacancies on this site are collected automatically from public sources and job feeds and shown in shortened form, with a link to the source. We do not control the content of those vacancies and cannot guarantee that they are accurate, complete or still available.

If a vacancy contains personal data about you, such as your name as a contact person, it came from the source. Email us and we will remove the vacancy from our index. To have it changed at the source you need to contact that website: we have no technical or legal control over it.

What we measure when you visit

We keep our own visit statistics. For each page you view we store the path (without any search terms from the address bar), the referring domain if you came from another site, the time, your IP address and the technical characteristics of your browser. From those we derive what kind of device and browser were used and whether consecutive views belong to a single visit. This measurement runs entirely on our own server: nothing goes to any other company and nothing is stored in your browser.

Our legal basis is legitimate interest: seeing whether the site works and is being used. We do not measure login and account pages and never link the measurement to an account. If your browser sends a privacy signal (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), we do not measure your visit at all. The records are deleted automatically after 180 days.

If something breaks, our error monitoring (Sentry, servers in the EU) receives a technical report of the failure. We use it only to repair the site.

Everything beyond that, such as Google Analytics, stays off until you give consent on this site, and you can withdraw that choice at any time. With your consent, Google sees which pages you view and what you do there, such as search filters, clicks on vacancies and click-throughs to apply. Your name, your email address and anything you type into a search box are never sent. When you are logged in, Google receives a random code derived from your account that cannot be traced back to you, so visits on several devices count as one.

Clicking through to a vacancy

When you click a vacancy we send you to the website it came from and count that click. The count stores no IP address and no browser characteristics; the click cannot be traced back to you. From the moment you click through, the terms and privacy policy of that other website apply. We have no influence over them.

Job alerts and your account

If you create a job alert we store your email address, your searches and the vacancies you save. We do this only to provide the service you asked for, and only after you confirm your sign-up by email.

Every email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can delete your account and everything in it yourself at any time. We keep this data until you do.

Who we share data with

We do not sell data and share nothing with advertising networks. The only parties that can see visitor data are the ones that technically run the site: our hosting and network providers, our error monitoring (Sentry, EU) and, only with your consent, Google for the statistics. We use an email service to deliver job alerts.

We do not build visitor profiles and make no automated decisions that affect you.

How long we keep data

We keep nothing longer than needed:

  • Visit statistics: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Your cookie choice: six months, then we ask again.
  • Account and alerts: until you delete them yourself.
  • Email you send us: as long as needed to handle your question.

Security

The site runs entirely over an encrypted connection, access to the data is limited to the operator, and signing in works with an email link instead of a password that could be stolen.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object, and to receive your data in a portable form. Where you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email your request to [email protected]; we respond within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

This statement may change as the site changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
